i believe that honesty is a hard thing to find in people. I feel that a lot of people my age are not truly themselves and just go with the flow of things. from the way they dress to to how they act they seem to just be following what would be consider "popular" which is sad. I think that people should not be afraid to express themselves and show who they really are. if they don't except you then they don't deserve to be your friend.
also honesty is an important trait.. (in a job, at home, with friends, and just in general) i do not understand why people lie to one another. personally, I rather know the truth now then find out later that it was a lie. you are just making yourself look bad by not telling the truth. And how you act shows the person you really are.. How do you expect people to want to be around you if they can not trust what you say or do.
You bring up valid points. Some people (especially teens) will contort their own beliefs and styles just to be able to say “I fit in”. I have seen a few people in high school follow the same lying trend in order to set their feet into a status that will only last for four years.
ReplyDeleteIt’s refreshing to know someone is choosing to follow their ideals and create a trend rather than just following what’s the latest and greatest. Truth be told, whatever is the greatest trend at the time can turn out to be the most damaging and the shortest at times.
